WATCH: Woman breaks down in tears after running into Aussie actor Chris Hemsworth

A video of a woman meeting her celebrity crush, Chris Hemsworth, has gone viral on TikTok after her boyfriend had a hilarious reaction. 

When she spotted the Australian actor, Catherine was enjoying lunch after her future sister-in-law's graduation at the University of Southern California.

After posing for a photo with Hemsworth, Catherine broke into tears, sobbing excitedly.

The viral video starts with her crying and features a photo of her and Hemsworth at the restaurant.

Hemsworth was pictured in a green linen suit whilst Catherine wore a fiery red dress, standing with her arm around him.

"Oh, my God, oh, my God," Catherine said, trying to catch her breath. "I'm actually obsessed with him."

Catherine was laughing with her boyfriend Cass Greene and his sister Hadley in the car. 

"Cass, how are you feeling right now?" Hadley asked her brother, who found the situation very funny. 

"Where's Margot Robbie?" he joked. "How come I don't get to meet Margot Robbie? This is bulls–t."

Viewers were quick to note that Catherine resembles Robbie: "Ok, but also him asking where Margot Robbie is and you look exactly like her that is so cute 😂"

Another added: "Where's Margot Robbie? Um, she's sitting right beside you b/c WHAT?! She's gorg!"

The video has since garnered one million views, with some followers wondering what the actor was doing in Southern California. 

He and his wife, Elsa Pataky, were recently in the States for the Met Gala, and have been visiting different cities together.

Hemsworth has also been travelling worldwide to promote his latest film, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga. 

The actor has visited France for the Cannes Film Festival and Sydney for his film's premiere, presumably taking a break in between jobs during his time in California.
