Stan releases first teaser for mysterious new drama 'Bloom'

What would you do if you had the chance to live out your youth again?

That's the question several characters are faced with in Bloom, the upcoming Stan original drama series.

BloomBloom about an idyllic country town a year after a devastating flood kills five locals. A mysterious new plant is discovered and it has the ability to restore youth -- a superpower that changes the lives of some of the town's inhabitants, causing them to "re-evaluate everything that's important." Some will even kill to keep the plant's powers secret from everyone else.

At the centre of the story is Gwen Reed, a character who is given the opportunity to revisit her youth.

She's a previously successful actress who suffers from Alzheimer's in her old age (portrayed by Oscar nominee Jacki Weaver). When she's young again (played by Phoebe Tonkin) she wrestles with her adult self and adolescent cravings.

"I remember everything," young Gwen says in the just-released first teaser for the series, implying that the townspeople who become young again retain their adult memories.

Bloom also stars Bryan Brown as Ray, Gwen's husband who will do whatever he can to support her and keep he alive; Ryan Corr as Sam, a mysterious young man who arrives in town; and Sam Reid as young Max.
