Billboard Music Awards 2020: Post Malone, Lil Nas X and Billie Eilish lead nominations
The Billboard Music Awards 2020 nominations have been announced overnight, with Post Malone leading the pack with 16 nominations in 15 categories.
First-time nominees Lil Nas X has 13 nominations, Billie Eilish and Khalid are tied with 12 nominations each and Lizzo scored 11 nods.
Taylor Swift, who has six nominations, could make history on the night.

If she wins five of those gongs, Swift will overtake Drake as the leading BBMA winner. The Canadian rapper currently holds 27 trophies, while the singer has 23 to her name.
The 30-year-old could also break a number of other records across specific categories. Tay Tay is hoping to win Artist of the Year for a record third time, having won the title previously in 2013 and 2015.
If Swift's album Lover wins Top Billboard 200 Album, that will also be a record third time. And it'll be a record fourth time if the singer picks up either Top Female Artist and Top Billboard 200 Artist.

Swift is up against Malone, Eilish, Khalid as well as the Jonas Brothers for the Top Artist award.
Eilish is also up for Top Billboard 200 Album for When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go, along with Swift's Lover, Khalid's Free Spirit, Post Malone's Hollywood's Bleeding and Ariana Grande's Thank U, Next.

They were originally meant to take place on April 29 but were rescheduled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Now, the awards show will take place on Wednesday, October 14 at The Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles with Kelly Clarkson returning as host.
