Ben Fordham has issued a scathing response to Kyle Sandilands after the shock jock allegedly threatened to “slap him” over criticism of his show’s spectacular collapse.

In a tell-all interview on The Game Changers podcast, Sandilands, 55, revealed he was invited by Fordham onto his 2GB show after his $100 million contract was torn up – but he flatly declined following Fordham’s on-air trashing.

“You know your media friends that aren’t really your friends, but you see them at things?” Sandilands explained.

“Ben was one of them. He was like, ’It was outrageous, it was never going to last … it was terrible mathematics, who would be worth $200 million? It’s ridiculous!”

After receiving an invitation to speak about the demise on 2GB, he said: “Then he’d send me a text, ’Mate, do you want to come on? And I’d say, ’No, you’re being a c--t about it, f--k you, and then he wrote, ‘Don’t be a sook’.”

“You want a slap, watch your mouth! I don’t put up with his bulls--t. I don’t give a shit if he’s mouthy, you deserve a slap.”

Fordham wasted no time in responding live on-air on Friday morning.

“Kyle has had a crack at little old me,” he began. “You can slap me anytime, sweetheart. Let me say this to Kyle ‘the slapper’ Sandilands.

“I love it when you role-play as a tough guy, and you’ve explained recently that’s what you do when you’re on the air.

“But be honest Kyle, you didn’t threaten to slap me – you’re just having aggressive fantasies about the guy who dominated you in the ratings.”

Fordham went on to question why Sandilands, a “champion of freedom of speech”, was angry at him for expressing his own opinion on his own radio show.

“I finished the message by saying toughen the f--k up, and he didn’t write back. Sorry to spoil your fantasy, Kyle,” he concluded.

Sandilands’ tell-all interview came a day after it was announced he’d settled in a lawsuit against his former employer ARN over the termination of his contract.

In a statement to the market, ARN revealed this week it had agreed to pay Sandilands a settlement sum of $12.09 million, with $3 million of the package payable in July 2026 and the balance payable monthly until June 2029.

As part of the settlement, ARN will provide Sandilands with “advertising services on ARN’s partner platforms”, worth $1.5 million over the next three years.

The settlement came after Sandilands took legal action against his former employer, after ARN terminated his $100 million KIIS FM contract.

Henderson is suing for wrongful termination against ARN, claiming compensation of at least $82.25 million and alleging that her termination was against the Fair Work Act.

She is set to appear in court in August for a hearing, while the trial is due to start in September.
