Bec Judd has opened up about an embarrassing run-in she had with Queensland Premier David Crisafulli after a few too many glasses of champagne.

Speaking about the encounter on her Vain-ish podcast, Bec, 43, revealed it all went down at the AFL Grand Final at the end of September.

Her husband, former AFL player Chris Judd, was on the voting panel for the Norm Smith medallist and was invited to watch the game with other high-profile attendees at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) last month.

Bec went with him and was delighted when she spotted Queensland’s Liberal premier in the function room they were watching from.

“All the premiers were there, including my favourite premier: David Crisafulli. He’s amazing,” she said.

“By god, he’s doing an amazing job in Queensland. He’s young, he just gets it.”

She gushed about his Adult Crime, Adult Time laws and his government establishing Queensland’s first public child sex offender register.

“I just think he’s so fantastic, [I’ve] got a bit of a crush on him, and he’s in the room,” she said, but confessed she was too nervous to approach him.

That is, until she got about eight glasses of champagne in her.

Bec said she bumped into Crisafulli on her way to the bathroom and ended up totally embarrassing herself.

“I’m darting to the toilet, he’s darting to the bar, I look at him and I lock eyes, go ‘hey, hey, hey, hey’ – this is me drunk,’” she recalled.

“And I point to myself, and I go ‘I’, and then I do the love heart, ‘love you.’”

“No you didn’t,” co-host Jess Roberts chimed in.

Bec powered on, saying, “He looked at me and he went ‘ugh’, like ‘what the f--k’. He had no idea who I was.

“The look on his face was like ‘I have no idea who this crazy lady is’ ... he’d probably think I was trying to pick him up! No, I just want you to lead the country dude.”

Bec said the ‘I love you’ gesture she made to Crisafulli is the same one she does to her four kids with Chris, who are aged between 10 and 15.

When she realised what she’d done, she was mortified, but that didn’t stop her from giving Crisafulli a shout-out on the podcast.

“If you are listening David, that was me, I’m happily married, I wasn’t trying to pick you up, I just want you to lead the country. Please consider it,” she said.

Yesterday, she and Chris revealed they were set for a windfall after Point Of Law won the Melbourne Cup.

Bec celebrated with a cheeky photo of her holding the famous golden trophy, which she posted to Instagram with the caption: “Ummmm….. this wasn’t on my bingo card but I’ll take it.

“Point of Law – you little beauty. Congrats to all the connections. Same time next year? @flemingtonvrc.”
