An awkward red carpet encounter between co-stars Jenna Ortega and Tommy Lee Jones has sent the internet into a frenzy.
As seen in footage shared onto X, the Oscar winner appeared to not remember he had filmed scenes with the young actress in their latest thriller, Finestkind.
The pair were filmed engaging in small talk on the red carpet and cameras caught the moment Jones asked his co-star a confusing question.

"Did we have any scenes together?" Jones asked Ortega while posing for photographs on Wednesday night. She replied: "Yes, we have one."
"Have you seen the film?" Jones then asked. Ortega then shook her head and the pair then burst into laughter.
Hitting Paramount+ on Dec. 15, Finestkind follows the story of two estranged brothers (Ben Foster and Toby Wallace) who live entirely different lives and are reunited as adults over one summer.
Difficult circumstances force them to form a deal with a Boston crime syndicate when a young woman (Ortega) finds herself tangled up in the mess.

The R-rated film also features Ben Foster, Toby Wallace, Ismael Cruz Cordova and Tim Daly.
Jones, 77, previously played the role of Agent K, or Kevin Brown in 1997's Men in Black (MIB), a secret agent who works for an organisation that monitors paranormal activity.
"Agent K had his mind erased :(," someone joked on X.

Another added a GIF of Will Smith using the mind eraser, accompanied by the caption: "They used the memory eraser on him."

Alongside Jamie Foxx, The Batman Forever actor appeared in a legal drama The Burial which was released in October.
This was one of Foxx's first movies since suffering from an illness earlier this year. Mysteriously, The Blame It singer was hospitalised in April for a "medical complication."
