Arnold Schwarzenegger opens up about daughter Katherine's engagement to Chris Pratt

Arnold Schwarzenegger has opened up about daughter Katherine's engagement to Chris Pratt for the first time -- and the totally classy move that left him impressed!

In an interview with Extra, the 71-year-old Hollywood icon told host Mario Lopez of Katherine's "fantastic" future with the Guardians of the Galaxy star, 39.

"That was really fantastic. She is so happy, they both are so happy," The Terminator star said of their happy news. "As I said to him, he is such a likable guy. I love Chris  -- he's fantastic."

He also revealed that before Pratt popped the question to Katherine, 29, he asked his future father-in-law for her hand the "traditional way."

"He's a wonderful guy," Arnold continued. "They both look really great together, they're both happy together, so I wish them both the best of luck."

Pratt and Katherine confirmed their engagement in early January, both posting sweet messages on Instagram.

"Sweet Katherine, so happy you said yes!" Pratt wrote. "I'm thrilled to be marrying you. Proud to live boldly in faith with you. Here we go!"

In her own message, Katherine wrote warmly, "My sweet love. Wouldn’t want to live this life with anyone but you."

Pratt's ex wife Anna Faris has also shared well wishes for the couple. In her Unqualified podcast, she called them "f---ing amazing people."

"I love her, and I love him, and I'm just so happy that they found each other," she said.
