Anna Kendrick gets stuck in an elevator with her entire PR team, then saved by Canadian firefighters

Anna Kendrick has revealed exactly what happens when you get stuck in an elevator with six other people, and it doesn't look too bad.

The Pitch Perfect star, 37, was on a press tour for her upcoming film Alice, Darling when she decided to take the elevator instead of the stairs.

Unfortunately for her, that decision resulted in hours stuck in the lift with eight other members of her PR team.

"I got in the wrong elevator at the wrong time," the actress joked to People at the Toronto Film Festival.

That didn't stop Kendrick from making the most of the situation, with the star documenting the group "vibing" in the elevator until help came.

Posting a video to Instagram, the actress showed her team stuck in the cramped elevator, captioning her post: "Ah, the classic 'I'm behind schedule at this film festival because I had to be rescued from an elevator' excuse #TIFF22."

"Guys, this is why I should never leave the house without at least an aeroplane-sized bottle [of alcohol]," she joked while filming.

After some time, Kendrick reveals how a group of Canadian firefighters came to the resuce, removing a grate from the top of the elevator, leading a ladder down and helping each member up and out.

"Lucky I wore a short skirt today," Kendrick jokes while climbing up the escapee ladder.

"The Lord said to me, 'Anna, choose the short skirt today.'"

Once finally out of the elevator and on solid ground, the actress snapped a few happy photos with her rescuers.

Overall, it looked like a successful mission for the firefighters.
