Anna Camp hits back at fans criticising her 18-year age gap relationship

Anna Camp has defended her relationship in a very public way.

The Pitch Perfect star has taken to an Instagram comments section after receiving a slew of criticism over her age gap relationship.

Camp, 42, recently went public with her girlfriend Jade Whipkey, 24, making their red carpet debut at the recent premiere of Camp's upcoming movie Bride Hard.

"Anna Camp i love u but i do not want you in conversation about age gap relationships … there are plenty of 40 year old lesbians PLEASE," wrote one fan on X (formerly Twitter).

"I love for Anna Camp that she's dating a woman, but that age gap is huge ngl," echoed another on the platform.

On an Instagram post shared by Pink News about Camp and Whipkey's red carpet debut, the comments section was rife with criticism over their 18-year age gap.

So, Camp stepped in to say her piece.

"Thought I'd jump on here since I follow @pinknews and just say I've dated men exactly my age and Jade is FAR more mature than any of them," the actress wrote.

"We have more in common than anyone else I've ever dated and can literally talk about anything and everything ♥️

"Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and I'm wishing everyone well :) Especially this Pride month 🌈".

The couple first made headlines when they appeared to hard launch their relationship only a month ago.

Whipkey took to her Instagram story to post an image of Camp sitting across a dinner table alongside a very romantic caption.

"Her smile is a poem. Her eyes are roses. Her laugh is music for dancing," she wrote.

Camp reshared the image to her own story, prominently tagging Whipkey in the top left corner.

At the time, the You actress had also recently shared a photo dump to Instagram – including a photo of Whipkey – captioned, "Happiness lately happening".

Whipkey left a comment on the post that read, "Big time happy", as well as several other comments left on previous posts of Camp's.
