Amy Schumer shuts down pregnancy rumours after cryptic Instagram post

Amy Schumer is not pregnant with her first child after all! Though she thanks everyone for "thinking of my womb."

The Emmy Award-winning actress and comedienne spoke out in an Instagram video Friday after an earlier post sparked pregnancy rumours. As she sipped an icy drink on a beachside patio, she told fans, "I am not pregnant."

Schumer, 37, had shared two photos of herself wearing a fitted red dress with peplum detail that appeared as if it were meant to conceal her tummy, her hands conspicuously positioned at either side.

"My friend said it looked like I was pointing to a bump, but I'm not," she continued. Schumer then revealed that the photos were meant to promote an upcoming affordable clothing line "for all sizes and shapes" that she is working on with her stylist, Leesa Evans.

"That's what I was trying to allude to, but thank you for thinking of my womb," she joked.

In the second snap causing speculation, her chef husband Chris Fischer was seen wrapping his arm around his laughing wife sweetly.

Before her explanation, some of Schumer's fans were sure the I Feel Pretty star was a mum-to-be.

As one wrote emphatically in the comments: "CONGRATS."

"I mean she looks like she has a small bump going on," another added.

One thing that is for sure? Schumer is feeling blissful in her married life. Following her surprise February wedding in Malibu, California, Schumer explained on pal Nikki Glaser's podcast: "I'm a wife as hell. But it's still like, a novelty."

"Somebody went to sit next to [Chris] and he's like, 'My wife is sitting here,' and then I got back and he was excited to tell me that he said that. I just have been really overusing it to a degree that's insane. Like, when it's completely uncalled for."
