'S--- happens': Adele shrugs off audio disaster during Grammys performance

It's not like Adele to sing a bum note, but the 27-year-old struggled with tech issues during her performance at the 2016 Grammy Awards.

The British songstress' usually flawless voice sounded strangely off as she belted out her 25 album track 'All I Ask', with the bizarre sound of a guitar tuning and a complete audio cut-out at the start of her performance. See how she kept on going above.

Adele, who made her Grammys comeback after a three-year break, explained the incident after the show…and in true Adele style, she did it colourfully.

Fans noticed the sound malfunction on Twitter, and it turns out they weren't just hearing things. A CBS spokesperson confirmed to Billboard that there was a five-to-eight-second technical issue with the broadcast that was "out of the network's control".

The 10-time Grammy winner was also singing without an earpiece, sometimes looking confused but ultimately soldiering on like a pro.

According to Billboard, Columbia record executives were "visibly upset" in the audience. Eeek…some tech dude's head is going to roll for this.

On the bright side, Adele got a standing ovation from her peers. And an In N Out Burger after the show.
