Adele's estranged father calls the police on neighbour for playing his daughter's songs

Adele's estranged father reportedly called the police on his next-door neighbour for playing and singing along to his famous daughter's songs.

Mark Evans, 56, who walked out on the singer when she was just three years old, contacted the police recently to make a noise complaint against neighbour, Keeley Fry.

Fry, 21, told The Sun that she moved into the home next door to Evans two years ago in Bridgend, South Wales.

"Not long after, he asked me to not sing so loud or play my music loudly," she said. "He said it was affecting his sleep and that it's very disturbing. I was surprised because I'm such a big Adele fan and most of the time I play her songs and sing along to them.

"I thought he'd appreciate it, not complain. I think he has an issue with me because I'm such a big Adele fan."

Fry said she is scared to leave her home in case she is approached by Evans or his wife.

South Wales Police confirmed a noise complaint was made last week in a statement: "The local Neighbourhood Policing Team is aware and is arranging to speak to both parties to resolve the matter."

In 2013, Evans told The Mail on Sunday that he expressed deep regret about his absent relationship with Adele, 32.

"I've left messages on her phone, I've written to her and I've sent birthday and Christmas cards but it's like I'm dead to her," he told the publication.

"Things went wrong when she was 12 because I had issues to deal with, including the deaths of my father and my closest buddy, but we overcame that and we were best mates again by the time she was 15."

Their relationship took a turn in after the release of the singer's second album, 21, when Evans chose to be interviewed about their relationship despite her advice against it.

"It's so sad it's come to this, and all over an honest account of my feelings for her," he continued. "I've never said a bad word about Adele and I'm absolutely gutted she's cut me out of her life."
