'What did you do to my face?' Neil Patrick Harris baffled by detail of star's selfie

Neil Patrick Harris is the latest face to fall victim to Facetune blindness – but in this case, the star had no say in the unsolicited edit.

Dance Moms alum Abby Lee Miller, 60, is the culprit at large, having posted a selfie with the star to her Instagram with a comically airbrushed filter.

Harris, 52, was quick to express his dismay over his borderline unrecognisable appearance – and his response was just what you'd expect from the comic actor.

"Ummm… what did you do to my face..?" the How I Met Your Mother star commented cheekily on the series of photos.

Miller had posted the selfies of Harris and his fellow castmates from a meet-and-greet for the Broadway revival of Tony award-winning play "ART".

"If you truly want to LAUGH OUT LOUD!!! Then go see @artonbwy with these incredible comedic actors @nph @j_corden and @bobby_cannavale," Miller captioned the post, tagging the stars.

"On tv they are superstars, live on stage - their timing is impeccable, and in person afterward - such gracious kind gentlemen!"

Hilariously, neither of them received the same face-filter treatment as their co-star.  Instagram

Perhaps most hilariously, Harris was the only one of the featured celebs to receive the unwarranted Facetune treatment.

Co-stars Bobby Cannavale and James Cordon appeared to be unedited in their photos as they posed alongside the famous dance teacher after the show.

This is the first ever Broadway adaptation of Yasmina Reza's award-winning play, described as "100 minutes of minimalist art, maximalist laughs, and a moving look at what we really see, and forgive, in the people we love."

The show follows three long-time friends, Harris, Cordon and Cannavale, as the men debate what truly constitutes "art," uncovering long-held grievances and tension points along the way.

Fans in the comments section of Miller's post were well and truly losing it over Harris' jarring appearance in the photo.

"Abby why did you do that to Neil," one person wrote, while another hilariously quipped "Neil paintbrush Harris."

Miller has faced controversy in the past for her social media presence, often making unfiltered comments about other celebrities.

Most recently, the reality television personality criticised the choreography and execution in Taylor Swift's The Fate of Ophelia music video, labelling it "hard to watch."

"You're trying to judge the choreography, but you're looking at her not doing it correctly, being a beat behind, turning in her feet, all that," Miller bluntly criticised.
