Expressive cat perfectly mirrors what we look like while watching scary movies

If you’re not much of a horror movie fan, prepare to see yourself in cat-from.

This is Togepi, and she perfectly illustrates what it’s like to watch a scary movie when you really, really don’t want to.

The tabby-Bengal crossbreed’s reactions look exactly how all of us have looked at one point in our cinematic histories.

You know that moment when you realise that you can’t physically handle what you’re watching on screen.

Maybe it was any point in The Ring, one of the chilling bathtub scenes in What Lies Beneath or even those really tense few minutes in A Little Princess when Sarah’s crawling between two buildings on a wooden plank in the rain.

You start to lose your cool, your eyes widen and you start fidgeting like you’ve got green ants in your knickers.

You keep watching, but it’s almost painful to do so.

Eventually you crack and you have to get yourself out of there/hide under the seat.

And that’s exactly what this scaredy cat illustrates in this video.

The clip is now re-trending nearly two years after it was originally posted.

It first appeared on the Happy Cat Family Instagram account in April 2016, and did some serious rounds back in the day.

But it’s now been revived after being posted to Twitter by someone who goes by the username of @METALTEARSOLID on Friday.

Over the weekend the clip clocked up more than 7.4 million views.

But, thankfully, Togepi wasn’t terrified in this video – which is a good thing, because she was only nine-months-old when it was shot.

And that’s a little young to be scarred for life by creative use of fake blood.

As we learned from stalking the heck out of the Instagram cat family’s account, she was actually watching her toys when this video was shot.

“I edited the vid and added the sound after,” her human said on Instagram.
