‘Miracle cat’ bites owner's face during live interview

This cat may seem like a grumpy jerk, but he’s been through a lot in the past month.

Willow, who lives with the Robinson family in Herefordshire, England, has become a bit of a reluctant celebrity lately.

He made global headlines earlier this week when word got out about how he returned from the dead, so to speak.

Willow went missing on February 26, during the Beast from the East storm that rocked the UK.

His distraught family feared the worst.

So when Jonny Robinson looked outside and found a dead animal on the road, he thought it was Willow.

The poor cat had been squashed beyond recognition, but the family buried the poor thing under the assumption it was their furry mate.

They held a funeral service and planted a tree in his honour.

But then, on March 10, Willow returned.

The poor guy had somehow managed to ride out the horrific weather and made it back home.

He was skinny, starving and had a broken leg.

Vets thought he had been hit by a car.

But even though he was home, life hasn’t exactly returned to normal for Willow.

The story about his homecoming vent viral, with it appearing all over UK media before spreading around the world.

So, suffering from a broken leg and a serious case of the cranks, a seemingly reluctant Willow hit the press circuit.

And by the time he appeared on UK breakfast show This Morning yesterday, it seemed he was fed up with it.

During an interview with presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, Willow’s human Caterina Robinson copped it.

Ouch.

Thankfully, Robinson didn’t appear to be hurt and carried on speaking to Willoughby and Schofield.

Interestingly, the clip was posted to This Morning’s Twitter account, it prompted a bunch of other similar stories of cats coming back from the dead.

There was this one from Kerry Mallaby:

‏“I took a dead cat back to its owner in a black big bag. He told wife and kid who were all devastated. saw him two weeks later and said their cat walked in the door later that day. It wasn’t their cat I had taken round and he hadn’t checked the body before telling the family.”

And then this ripper from Emma Lawrence:

“Electrician knocked on my door, told me my cat was electrocuted at substation. I took to vets and paid to have it cremated. Went to tell my neighbour sad news, my cat was asleep in their house… who’s cat did I dispose of?”

Cats, man.
