Overprotective house cat takes on wild fox standing too close to children

Just because it’s not a canine, doesn’t meant this cat doesn’t make a good guard dog.

This cat obviously thought this wild fox was a little sketchy and didn’t trust it getting too close to its family.

As the two curious children inched closer to the fox, this cat felt the need to intervene.

And just because this fox had spent its life hunting its own food and fending for itself in the wild, it doesn’t mean he’s a tough guy.

Or, perhaps it was a tough guy and this cat was even tougher.

But we’re not judging the fox – we probs wouldn’t stick around if an angry cat lunged at us while letting out a demonic bark-hiss.

The home video footage, shot in Norway, is from waaaay back in a time when videos were shot on things known as “camcorders” and not smartphones.

It has since resurfaced on the internet after being posted to YouTube by someone who goes by the username of ole saga.

And while comments sections can sometimes be vile threads of arguments between strangers, most YouTubers seemed to agree the cat was simply being protective of the family.

We mean, it’s also highly likely the cat was just being an old crank and the attack was a feline form of “get off my lawn”.

But we’re choosing to believe it just wanted to save its family.
