VIDEO: This little girl impersonating Big Ben is on to something
Some ideas are so terrible, they’re terrific.
Big Ben will be silent for the next four years to allow for repairs and everyone's a bit ancy about the absence of the clock tower’s iconic bongs.
It's a pretty big deal.
But thankfully the team from This Morning has come up with a plan to fill the Big-Ben-shaped void… and that plan is to bring in some rando girl to impersonate the clock.
Obviously.
And the girl for the job is Phoebe, who wrote a note to BBC's Radio 4 to apply for the role of replacement bonger.

Now, some Negative Nancies out there have flung abuse at the show's producers for how awkward this segment was, but that's the beauty of this idea.
We think it's so weird that it might just work.
Phoebe reckons she could just live in the tower and just sing out the iconic tune every hour before whacking a gong.
No worries.
Four years of a little girl living in a damn clock tower, singing the same song every hour on the hour into a super-loud megaphone – just imagine how glorious that would be.
And if there was a livestream of all this, it would make for the best reality television show this world has ever seen.
We could watch as her spirit breaks after months of isolation and sleeping for less than one-hour intervals, and enjoy her descent into madness as the realisation of the calamity of her commitment slowly dawns on her.
But in the interests of maintaining her sanity, we reckon a recording of her bings and bongs would probably suffice.
Let's make this happen, people!
