An armed robbery attempt has gone viral after vision of the robber dropping his gun was posted online.

A worker at an e-cigarette store in Denver, Colorado, was approached by a man holding a gun.

But, as security footage shows, the would-be robber didn’t hold on to the weapon.

The man desperately tried to scramble over the counter to retrieve it, but the worker had already picked it up.

This sent the offender fleeing, with vision from one of the cameras appearing to show the man’s pants slipping down as he ran.

It just wasn’t his day - if you check out the footage above, you’ll see what we mean.

According to a report from local news broadcaster KDVR, the bungling crim is still at large.

“There were no fingerprints in the store, but definitely on the firearm itself,” shop owner Chris Burgess said.
