As Australians, we think we have the monopoly on giant carnivorous reptile sightings in amusing places.
It basically accounts up 40% of the NT News' content.
Crocs are crazy, they're big and they're bloody everywhere.
So when we hear of an alligator sighting in the US, we assume that it's some piddly thing compared to the insanely buggers we have down here.

Replace "knife" with "giant carnivorous reptile", and you have our attitude in a nutshell.
We saw the description of animal control officer yanking an alligator out of some bushes in a shopping complex in Leland, North Carolina, and thought "yeah righto mate, good on ya for picking up a lizard".
How big could it be?
As it turns out, bloody massive.
This whopper of an alligator was a couple of metres long and cranky as hell.
And despite missing a front leg, it was really going for the death roll when it was being ripped out of there.
Righto America, we'll give you this one.
