1000-Lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton never thought this day would come - one doctors visit would change everything

1000-Lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton has reached goal after goal on her incredible weight loss journey.

At one point Tammy weighed 725lbs (328kgs). She has since lost a remarkable 421.2lbs (191kgs).

The news she was about to hear however would change her life forever.

In a moment from the brand new season of 1000-Lb Sisters shared by TLC, Tammy, 38, paid a nervous visit to bariatric surgeon Dr. Eric Smith.

"You've shown me you can focus on your nutrition," Dr. Smith began.

But there was one more milestone left to reach.

Tammy held her breath as she waited to hear the news.

"I'm giving you the green light to go back to Pittsburgh and get you scheduled to have your skin removed," Dr Smith revealed.

Tammy is approved for her skin removal surgery!

It was a moment of excitement and relief for the star.

"You're approved. What?!" Tammy reacted in a piece to camera.

Dr. Smith couldn't be more proud of Tammy.

"It's not the end of her journey by any means but it's kind of that final reward of 'I've done all that hard work and now I can have this battle scar removed from me'," he said.

With the clip shared to TLC's official Instagram page, fans of Tammy and the series couldn't believe the news as they flooded the comments section.

"Omg I'm so happy for her !!! This has been a long time coming for all of us," one follower wrote.

"Yessssss Tammy 👏😢😢❤️ I never thought this day was coming now look at her, How Proud we are of you," praised another.
