Australia's top 10 wealthiest people have a collective bank balance of $243 billion – a 10 per cent leap from this time last year, despite the ongoing cost of living crisis impacting everyday Aussies.

While mining magnate Gina Rinehart's net worth sank by 4 per cent in the past year, the tech titans of the country made up for it with soaring fortunes.

The Forbes top 50 list for 2025 saw some new entrants this year, including the addition of a lone millionaire after the minimum cut-off was slightly lowered to $975 million instead of $1 billion.
