Woman's body discovered at multi-storey construction site in Gladesville

A crime scene has been set up at a construction site in Gladesville, in Sydney's inner west, after a woman's body was discovered.

A construction worker found the body just after 7am.

Police are searching the multi-storey building site on Jordan Street and speaking to witnesses.

Neighbour Jeremy Delaney has told 9NEWS he heard a scream early this morning.

"It was about 5.15 am and I just heard this terrified scream, and a bang," Mr Delaney said.

"I got up and looked outside and couldn't see anything, but I thought someone had been shot," he said.

It's not yet known if the death is suspicious.
