Woman sexually assaulted during car park robbery
A 22-year-old man will front a Brisbane court today after allegedly kicking a man unconscious and sexually assaulting a woman during a violent robbery at a shopping centre car park.
Police allege a group of five men approached a parked Mitsubishi Magna at 3.45am on Wednesday at Sunnybank Plaza, in Brisbane's south, then punched and kicked a man in the driver's seat.
The group then dragged a woman out off the vehicle and allegedly assaulted her before damaging the car and stealing keys to a car parked nearby.
The group of five men then allegedly fled the scene by stealing another vehicle, a Honda Civic.
Police have arrested and charged two men in relation to the attack.
Montasr Hassan Angolo, 17, faced Brisbane Magistrate's Court charged with multiple offences which included robbery, attempted robbery with actual violence and one count of sexual assault in company.
He was refused bail and his matter has been adjourned until January 23.
The second man, a 22-year-old, will appear in court today charged with similar offences.
Police are still searching for the three outstanding alleged offenders.
They would also like to speak with the drivers of two delivery trucks that were in the area at the time.
