Woman falls up to 12 metres in Sydney

A woman has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after falling up to 12 metres in Sydney.
Police say the 29-year-old was sitting on stairs in The Rocks just after midnight when she appeared to drop something through the railings.
Witnesses saw her climb over the railing and fall between 10 and 12 metres to the ground.

She was treated at the scene and taken to St Vincent's Hospital suffering a collapsed lung, a laceration to her liver and fractures to her back.
