Woman dead after boat capsize on Brisbane River

A 30-year-old woman has died after her boat capsized in the Brisbane River at Morningside.

The woman was in the tinny with a friend when it overturned about 1.40pm, police said. 

Other boaties in the area helped to free the 28-year-old man who was also in the boat. 

However, the woman was found unconscious under the boat and authorities pronounced her dead at the scene.

Police are investigating.
