Windsor warns parties of campaign danger
AAP
Former independent MP Tony Windsor has warned that the lengthy election campaign could force more people away from major parties.
Mr Windsor, who's challenging Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce in his old seat of New England, said almost 40 per cent of voters were already looking for an alternative to the major parties.
He told ABC television that could grow the longer the campaign ran, especially if the major parties returned to fighting each other the way they traditionally do.
