Call to mark 10-year anniversary of William Tyrrell's disappearance

It's been 10 years to the day since a three-year-old boy in Spiderman pyjamas disappeared on the New South Wales Mid North Coast, but the call to bring him home remains strong.

William Tyrrell vanished from a property at Kendall on September 12, 2014.

Despite extensive police investigations, which continue to this day, no trace of the then-toddler has ever been found and no charges relating to his disappearance have been laid.

A coronial inquest into the boy's disappearance is set to resume in NSW later this year after it was adjourned in 2020 due to developments in the police investigation.

A $1 million reward is also in place for anybody who can help solve the mystery.

The Where's William? campaign called on people around the country to mark the date of the anniversary today.

"As long as there's no evidence to suggest William is deceased, with stories of missing children being found alive decades after their abduction, the Where's William? campaign holds on to the hope - however small - that William could still be found alive. He could be anywhere," director Clare Collins said.

"On the tragic 10th anniversary of William's unsolved disappearance, Where's William? is inviting all Australians to show their love and support for William and his loved ones by lighting a candle to help create a symbolic pathway of hope - hope that William can find his way home to all who love him, especially his siblings."
