Mega-pod of massive whales seen feeding off NSW coast

A rare mega-pod of humpback whales were today spotted feeding off the New South Wales coast, providing a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for observers to watch the ocean titans working together.

There were about 150 humpback whales in the group seen just a few kilometres off Merimbula in the state's far south.

"It was like the oceans were boiling," witness Jessica Millar said.
