Perth braces for more intense storms and damaging winds
A savage storm cell has pummelled Perth, with damaging winds and heavy rain and the SES inundated with calls for help.
The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a severe weather warning for damaging winds and dangerous surf.
Last night, 100km/h wind gusts were recorded at Cape Leeuwin and Mandurah.

The city's wild wind gusts were strong enough to rip the roof off of a home in Eagle Bay. in the state's south, in the middle of the night, landing on cars.
Since 4am on Monday, authorities have responded to more than 100 calls for help.
It has been the wettest start to July since the year 2000 - with rain recorded on 10 out of 12 days - and the wettest month in the last three years.
More rainfall, strong winds and dangerous conditions are expected along the coastline today.
The system bringing a deep low and trough with showers and thunderstorms to the Perth region is heading east across the rest of Australia throughout the rest of the week.
Showers are expected today in Melbourne and Adelaide. In Sydney and Brisbane, it will be mostly sunny with a chance of morning fog in both cities.
Hobart and Canberra will be partly cloudy with light winds. A top of 33 degrees is forecast for Darwin.
