Man in hospital after crocodile attack at NT tourist spot
A man is in hospital after he was attacked by a crocodile at one of the most popular tourist spots in the Northern Territory.
NT Parks and Wildlife said Wangi Falls, in Litchfield National Park, had been closed for swimming this afternoon following the incident.
"Rangers have confirmed a man was attacked by a saltwater crocodile at Wangi Falls this afternoon," Department of Environment, Parks and Water security director Dean McAam said.

"It is estimated the crocodile is approximately two metres long.
"Rangers are working with the Crocodile Management Team to remove the animal.
"Further crocodile surveys will then be undertaken prior to reopening."
Access to the water has been closed for safety reasons.
People are urged to obey all closures.
The man was treated at the scene by an off-duty nurse before ambulances arrived.
He has been taken to hospital for medical treatment.

Top End water spots are typically closed during the wet season due to saltwater crocodiles moving along the waterways.
They reopen in the winter after rangers have a chance to check they are safe.
However, all swimmers in the NT are advised to stay "crocwise" and be aware of potential dangers regardless of the time of year.
