Who is 'top dog' at the West Coast Eagles?

It's not quite the race which stops the nation, but it certainly put the West Coast Eagles pre-season on hold.

The players’ pooches took to the sand to win the title of top dog.

The reigning champion is Harvey, owned by Eagle’s star Luke Shuey.

The race was a 50 metre dash that required some preparation.

“We had a really good week, the preparation was good, we carb loaded and did some sprint training – and a bit of mindfulness to get them right in zone to win today,” forward Josh Kennedy said about his dog Phillip.
