Suspected asylum seeker found near air base days boat arrived off WA coast
A missing suspected asylum seeker has been found in Western Australia following an extensive two-day search.
The man was reported missing around Mitchell Plateau on Friday after a boatload of 15 men, thought to be of Chinese descent, arrived in the Kimberley and wandered onto the Truscott Airbase.
The airbase is in a remote part of the Kimberley.

It comes after a boatload of 15 men, thought to be of Chinese descent, arrived in the Kimberley and wandered onto the Truscott Airbase on Friday afternoon. 9News
One man believed to be missing sparked a joint operation with WA Police and Border Force, who have today located the man standing on a track near the Truscott Air Base.
"It has been confirmed the man was part of a group that arrived to Australia via an unknown vessel," police said.
"It is unknown how or why the man became separated from his group, but he has been found to be in relatively good condition."
The man is currently receiving medical treatment from a doctor at the Truscott Airbase.
Drones are also searching for the boat the group is thought to have arrived by, which is the third boat since November to arrive on the Australian mainland undetected.
9News understands some of the men have been flown to Darwin, with the remainder expected to arrive later today.
