WA policeman charged with assaulting women

A 43-year-old policeman has been charged with assaulting two women at a business in a northern Perth suburb while he was off-duty last year.
The man was allegedly involved in an altercation with two 26-year-old women in Mount Hawthorn on September 17.
The officer, from the state crime unit, has been stood aside from operational duties and will appear before the Perth Magistrates Court later on Friday.
