A suspicious fire, which has destroyed almost 180,000 hectares of bushland, is still burning north of Broome, five days after it began.

WA Department of Fire and Emergency Services has issued an alert level of `advice' for the blaze near Country Downs station, 70km north of Broome.

Fire services are also battling an out of control blaze 40km south of Halls creek in WA's north, having burnt through 30,000 hectares of bushland since last Wednesday.
