Murder charge after bashed Perth man dies

A 53-year-old man has been charged with murder and attempted murder after two people were attacked at a Perth house.
One of the victims, a 66-year-old man, died in hospital on Tuesday afternoon.
Police were called to Mercer Place, Thornlie, around 2am when they found an injured woman, 43, at a home where she'd gone to seek help.

They were told the 66-year-old man was unconscious in a nearby home that was on fire.
The woman was taken to Fiona Stanley Hospital with injuries that are not believed to be serious.
The alleged attacker, who is known to the victims, is due to appear in the Armadale Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
