Protest over WA's first toll road

Protesters have confronted West Australian Transport Minister Dean Nalder over the federal-funded Perth Freight Link, the state's first toll road.

Mr Nalder was given a letter on Friday from the Rethink Perth Freight Link alliance voicing the concerns of residents, environmentalists and businesses about the impact of the $1.6 billion tollway.

"When will these politicians snap out of this political trance they seem to be in and realise we are people standing up for legitimate concerns we have about the future of our communities," protest organiser Clayton Ellis said.
