Police investigate two deaths in remote WA

Police from the Major Crime Squad have flown to a remote West Australian indigenous community where two people have died.

WA Police have released scant detail on the case, saying only the deaths occurred recently in the indigenous community which is near the northern-most tip of WA.

"Kimberley Police are investigating two recent deaths at the remote Kalumburu Aboriginal Community," a police spokeswoman said.

"(The) Major Crime Squad are attending to assist local Kununurra Detectives in the investigation."

Police say their inquiries are continuing.
