Man shot in chest in stable condition

A man is in a stable condition in hospital after being shot in the chest in Perth.
He was found near Rockingham Police Station, with officers providing first aid before paramedics arrived.
The man, who is in his 30s, is understood to have a single gunshot wound.

St John Ambulance picked him up from the station just after noon, rushing him to Rockingham Hospital.
A police spokesman said the circumstances behind the shooting were still unknown, and the matter was being investigated.
The man was transferred by ambulance to Royal Perth hospital at around 2pm.
