An Aboriginal man shot in the stomach by Broome police remains in a critical condition in hospital.
Police allege the 66-year-old from the remote community of Balgo threatened two officers with a knife after terrifying a taxi driver with the weapon and stabbing his vehicle's tyres.
The man was flown from the Kimberley town to Royal Perth Hospital on Tuesday and a spokeswoman said he remained in a critical condition on Wednesday.
