Man on murder charge after partner's death
A 40-year-old man has been charged with murder over the bashing death of his long-term partner in Perth.
Margaret Indich, 38, died at Royal Perth Hospital from severe injuries suffered in the assault at the couple's Cloverdale home on Wednesday shortly before 8 pm.
A relative in the house at the time who called for an ambulance and police.
A man from Carlisle was later arrested and has now been charged with murder. He is due to appear in court on Saturday.
When paramedics gained access to Ms Indich to treat her she was unresponsive due to the extent of her injuries.
She later died at Royal Perth Hospital.
It is the second alleged domestic violence-related death around Perth this week.
Junior Fayiah Carlos, 26, was charged with murder over the death of his partner Christine D'Cruz, 19, in Mandurah on New Year's Eve, leaving behind her baby.
