A West Australian father faces charges after he crashed into a tree, flinging one of his children from the car and seriously injuring three others.

The children, aged four, six, seven and eight, were badly hurt when the car veered onto the wrong side of the road in Geraldton.

Police are investigating whether the six-year-old thrown from the vehicle was wearing a seatbelt.

The children are all in a stable condition at hospitals in Perth and Geraldton.

Police are interviewing witnesses and checking whether the 34-year-old driver, who suffered minor injuries, was affected by alcohol.

Cars hit trees in two other WA accidents on Thursday night.

A man aged in his early 60s died after his vehicle hit a tree in Ludlow and caught fire, and in Wongan Hills, a 17-year-old boy veered onto the wrong side before slamming into a tree. He had to be cut free and is in a critical condition in Royal Perth Hospital.

On Friday morning, a man was killed in a truck rollover in Bindoon.

In Mandurah, a 72-year-old woman driving out of a shopping centre car park mounted a kerb and struck two men aged 60 and 46, and a 43-year-old woman, who were handing out religious pamphlets.

The were taken to Peel Health Campus, where they are in a stable condition.
