Man dies in car crash in southern WA

A 40-year-old man has died after his Nissan Patrol ute hit a tree south of Perth.
Police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred on Wednesday afternoon on the Brockman Highway near Nannup.
WA's current road toll for the year is 181, compared with 153 at the same time last year, driven by a 41 per cent jump in deaths on country roads.
