Last of four WA prison escapees caught

Four prisoners have been charged after using a forklift to escape from a minimum-security facility in Perth, then fleeing in a stolen car.

Geoffrey Ninyette, 19, and his three other inmates escaped the Wandoo Reintegration Facility in Murdoch at 8.30pm on Friday.

The men then allegedly assaulted a man at a sporting complex in Leeming while trying to steal his car keys.

A police dog later tracked one of the escapees to the backyard of a nearby property, where he was arrested.

Another two were captured after being spotted in a car, believed to have been stolen, which prompted a police chase that ended in Rivervale.

Ninyette remained on the run, but was found by police at a Maddington address on Monday morning.

He has been charged with escaping from lawful custody, stealing a motor vehicle and aggravated burglary.

He is scheduled to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

Another 19-year-old man and two 21-year-old men have also been charged with escaping from lawful custody.
