Fire under control at leafy Perth home

A large fire at a house in Perth's leafy western suburbs has been brought under control.
The fire is believed to have started in the kitchen of the Peppermint Grove house at 2.30pm on Monday.
Dozens of firefighters battled the blaze, which caused significant damage to the top floor.

No one was inside the Leake Street home when the fire started.
A St John Ambulance crew remains at the scene for emergency services workers who may require assessment.
The cause of the fire and the cost of the damage are unknown.
