Girl drowns in Kimberley's Ord River

A six-year-old girl has drowned in the Ord River in Western Australia's Kimberley region.
The girl was at Ivanhoe Crossing in Kununurra with her family when she went underwater about 3pm on Tuesday, a WA Police spokeswoman said.
She was rescued and taken to hospital where she was later pronounced dead, with police now preparing a report for the coroner.
