Five people accused of murdering Perth father Travis Mills, whose body was found in the boot of a burnt out car, have appeared briefly in court.

Seleena Ruthsalz and her mother Joanne, Justine and Darren Campbell, and Darryl Newton are all charged with the Good Friday murder of 30-year-old Mr Mills.

The Stirling Garden Magistrates Court heard on Wednesday that Darren Campbell was taken to Royal Perth Hospital shortly after his arrest and his lawyer holds concerns for his health.

Magistrate Jan Whitbread said it was early days in a complicated case.

The five accused are being held in three separate West Australian prisons.

They will reappear in the same court on August 26.
