A Perth woman accused of stealing money from her Alzheimer's-affected mother has had her 10 charges reduced to one and the alleged amount dropped to about $120,000.

Siham Carollisen is on trial in the West Australian District Court accused of stealing Amina's money, which came from the sale of a house, between July 2014 and June 2015.

She had been accused of stealing almost $140,000 but on Thursday it was revealed Carollisen was now facing just one charge that she stole $121,281.

Carollisen testified earlier this week that she had her mother's permission to spend the money from her parents' divorce settlement, pointing to a conversation they had at a birthday event in March 2012.

Her brother Mirwan, 28, also gave evidence in support of her and said the women were best friends.

The trial continues.
