Drugs, weapons seized from Perth jail

Drugs and weapons have been seized from people visiting a maximum security prison south of Perth.

Methamphetamine, cannabis, pepper spray and a large knife were seized by police and Department of Corrective Services officers at Hakea prison on Friday.

Authorities searched visitors and vehicles entering prison facilities across the state as part of a crackdown on contraband.
