DAY SEVEN OF THE CLAREMONT MURDERS TRIAL

TELSTRA 'LIVING WITNESS' TESTIMONY

* Three women said they saw a light-coloured vehicle driving around the area in the summer of 1996 and 1997, with one witness saying she spotted it five times in about two hours. Another saw it twice

* Two of them said they mistook his station wagon for a taxi, and one accepted a lift in that belief

* Two spotted a Telstra logo on the vehicle but one woman didn't, and two described the male driver as having dark hair

* The third woman was hitchhiking and accepted a ride in his van, which she thought was used for electrical work as it contained many cables

* The women's testimony is part of the so-called "living witness project". Investigators noted five incidents in the area between late 1995 and late 1996 involving a lone male driver of a "broadly consistent" description in a Telstra vehicle

EDWARDS' WORK CARS

* Documents were tendered showing Edwards used 11 vehicles between 1991 and 2010

* He used two different cars during the near-14-month period when the three killings occurred

* Prosecutors allege Edwards abducted or lured the victims into his work cars, and fibres from the interiors of those types of vehicles were found on the bodies of Ciara Glennon and Jane Rimmer

EDWARDS' SLEEP PROBLEMS

* Edwards saw sleep doctor John Philpott in early 1997, telling him he was separated from his wife and drinking about one bottle of spirits a week

* The doctor was not asked what his medical conclusions were.
