Bushfire threatening WA's Margaret River
AAP
An out of control and unpredictable bushfire is threatening lives and homes in the Shire of Augusta-Margaret River, Western Australia's chief winery region.
Authorities issued a watch and act alert on Wednesday afternoon for people in the eastern part of Margaret River and western part of Rosa Brook.
Residents are advised to leave now if the way is clear, or to make final preparations if well prepared and planning to actively defend their homes.
